About Rhythmic Gymnastics
Rhythmic gymnastics is one of three disciplines in the sport of gymnastics. It’s an Olympic sport that that combines elements of ballet, gymnastics, acrobatics, dance, and apparatus: hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon or rope. Rhythmic gymnasts must be strong, flexible, agile, dexterous and coordinated.
Rhythmic gymnastics is governed by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) and USA Gymnastics Federation. At the competitive level, rhythmic gymnastics is a women-only sport. The gymnasts perform leaps, balances, pivots, and flexibility movements, along with tossing, catching, rolling and otherwise manipulating the apparatus with the music.
There are many benefits to your children participating in gymnastics, even if they don’t compete professionally. It’s a healthy form of exercise that instils discipline, hard work, and dedication. Your child can learn all about expression through artistic movement while creating lasting relationships with their coaches and peers.
Programs/Classes
